The Dualsense looks way more comfortable than any previous dualshock controller. Can’t wait to see how it feels. Looks more like an Xbox controller which is the most comfortable for me — Charles (@charlesdailey) November 13, 2020

Screen Rant reported that it is a USB issue that gets even worse when the controller is in Rest Mode. Because of the major flaw, many individuals are finding ways on how to fix it and some of them already provided fixes for PS5 DualSense’s current flaw.

However, only one of them seems to work consistently. Although it was reportedly efficient, the fix is rather inconvenient. Sony Interactive Entertainment hasn’t provided any information yet if the issue is an intended feature or a true flaw.

How to fix PS5 DualSense’s issue

The owners said that they’ll put their consoles in Rest Mode and once they come back, they’ll find that it is not charging properly. To avoid assuming that the PS5 DualSense console is charging properly, you should double-check if its LED indicator lights are working. If you see that the light is orange, that means that it is charging efficiently.PS5 DualSense Users Suffer From A Major Flaw; Their Consoles Are Not Charging In Rest Mode(Photo : Screenshot from Twitter post of @CZAzuaga)

If adjusting the settings still doesn’t work, other owners said that you should not use the front port. What you need to do is to plug your controller into one of the system’s rear USB ports while it in Rest Mode.

PS5 DualSense receives improved support from Steam

If your PS5 DualSense controller is also suffering from the issue, there are still some things you can look forward to. According to PC Gamer‘s latest report, Steam now enhances support for the latest controller version.

“Added additional support for the PS5 DualSense controller including LED, trackpad, rumble, and gyro functionality” noted Valve via PC Gamer.

“Added a directional swipe mode for use with trackpads and gyro,” added the company.

However, the latest update is still in beta mode and Valve hasn’t released any news yet regarding the additional support.
